Welcome to Les Frippieres, a charming family-run property nestled in a historic heritage hamlet.
Our 1800s stone cottages offer a unique blend of traditional charm and modern comfort, providing an unforgettable experience.
Hjarne and Katarina Kaiser, the new owners of Les Frippieres, took over the property in 2023. With a passion for hospitality, they aim to continue the property’s nearly 30-year tradition of providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Kaisers have exciting plans to enhance the property and offer even more memorable experiences.
Our family is dedicated to creating a comfortable and inviting environment where you can truly relax and unwind. We are committed to providing the best experience and are always happy to assist with any questions you may have about the property or the area.

How to find us without GPS
Head for Tours.
Take the motorway for Poitiers/Bordeaux,
Get off at Junction 25 (St. Maure de Touraine), pass through the peage.
You will now pass through 3 roundabouts.
1st roundabout follow the signs for Tours / Chatellerault / St Maure de Touraine
2nd roundabout, again follow the signs for Chatellerault / St Maure de Touraine
3rd roundabout turn right in the direction of Chatellerault / Descartes (Route D910)
Follow D910 to La Celle-St Avant.
At the first roundabout follow the signs for Descartes / Le Blanc / Chateau du Grand Pressigny (Route D750)
In the small village Le Grignon you will go straight over the roundabout and continue in the direction for Descartes / Le Blanc / Chateau du Grand Pressigny (Route D750)
In the next roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Descartes center.
Continue to you reach a roundabout (the Intermarche is at this roundabout if you need any supplies) and take the 2nd exit Descartes / La Roche-Possay / Chateau du Grand Pressigny (Route D750).
Follow the road through the town. You will come to a small crossroad at the Rue de Commerce, (which is a bit off) continue over towards Musee de Descartes.
After leaving Descartes (approx. 0.7 mile) take a left fork D42 to Abilly/Le Grand Pressigny.
Follow the road through Abilly and continue to La Grand Pressigny
After you have passed the town sign, you will pass one intersection with a Citroen dealer, continue to the next intersection and turn left and then right following the Toutes Directions sign.
Follow the narrow road, Rue des Tanneries, to the end at the STOP sign, here you turn right, along Rue du Dr. Léveillé.
Follow the D42 towards Le Petit Pressigny / Preuilly s/ C (sur-Claise)
Shortly after you turn right following D42 in the direction of Preuilly s/ Claise and Chaumussay
Carry on along the D42 through Etableau until you see a sign for a picnic area on your right-hand side and following this will be a sign for Chaummussay turn right here.
Once in Chaumussay cross the bridge over the river Claise, after about 70 meters you will see the church on the left, turn to the right (if you get to the roundabout go back)
Follow that road until you come to “the old railway crossing” which is now a bicycle lane, “ La voie verte”, continue on up the hill and take the next road on the left there is a small sign for “Les Frippières”, it is also the name of the hamlet.
Once in the hamlet, which is only 200 meters from the sign, there is a bend to the left and then one to the right, our property is on this bend on the left side, you will see a blue fence with a sign saying “Les Frippieres nr. 3” – and you have arrived. It is easier to reverse your car into our drive through the blue double iron gates.

Is a deposit required?
50% deposit (rental + tax) to be paid at the time of booking.
Remaining amount to be paid not later than two month (14th April 2025) prior to Rental period.
The booking is valid when the deposit has been paid.
Please note the deposit is non-refundable.

Can you catch a bus from Les Frippières?
There are two bus stops near Les Frippières where you can catch a bus to Tours or other nearby towns:
- Salle des fêtes arrête de bus: This bus stop is located at 19 Rue de la Butte, 37350 Le Grand-Pressigny, France.
- Arrêt de bus “La chataigneraie”: This bus stop is located at 39 Av. de Couzières, 37250 Veigné, France.
Once you are at one of these bus stops, you can use the app or website of the bus company you are traveling with to find the schedule and routes for buses to your desired destination.
